# Agentic system design examples

Author: Sandeep Belgavi.

These 15 independent examples use Python's standard library and synthetic
inputs. They exercise specific design invariants; they do not call a model,
authenticate a real user, contact a cloud service or change production state.
SQLite examples use temporary local databases. Read each module's docstring and
its companion article before adapting it.

Use Python 3.11 or newer. On macOS, open a terminal in this directory:

```text
python3 pattern_01.py
python3 -B -m unittest discover -s . -p "test_pattern_*.py" -v
```

On Windows with the Python launcher:

```text
py -3 pattern_01.py
py -3 -B -m unittest discover -s . -p "test_pattern_*.py" -v
```

If your installation exposes `python`, use that executable after checking its
version. Execution evidence for this release comes from Windows with Python
3.13; the command forms above are not a claim of a physical macOS test.

Modules `pattern_01.py` through `pattern_15.py` correspond to the numbered
patterns at https://aicassindra.com/agentic-systems/. Each has a matching
`test_pattern_NN.py` file. Tests exercise failures and boundaries as well as
the working path. Run the entire suite after changing a shared assumption.
