EFS Throughput & Burst Credits

A Bursting-mode file system earns burst credits while it runs below baseline and spends them while it runs above it. Baseline scales with size (~50 KB/s per GB), so a small file system has a tiny baseline and a shallow credit well. Drive it hard and watch the credits drain — at zero, throughput is throttled to baseline.
